I think we are all dreading the impending winter storm this weekend; however, your wrap doesn't have to suffer the consequences of this weather if you follow these tips & tricks!

Wash your vehicle BEFORE the storm!

Cleaning your wrapped vehicle regularly is already recommended for longevity purposes. If you know there is a major snow storm arriving in a few days go ahead and wash your vehicle 1-2 days before the storm with warm water and a microfiber towel. Removing all of the dirt, grime, and salt before the storm reduces the possibility of all of that mess being frozen to your car. It also reduces the chances of scratching the vinyl because you won't have dirt and salt mixed in as you remove the snow and ice once it arrives.

Dust off as much snow and ice off as you can.

Before you call it a day go out and dust off as much snow on your vehicle as you can. Snow left on vehicles overnight has the potential to freeze which could potentially damage your wrap. If in the morning you wake up and your car is a solid sheet of ice DO NOT PICK IT OFF! That can severely damage the vinyl, laminate, or both. Instead, start your car a few times and let it melt off on its own.

Avoid Ice Scrapers

Ice scrapers are great for the windows but avoid using them anywhere near wrapped surfaces! An ice scraper can easily chip or damage your vinyl. Instead use a soft brush or broom to remove all the snow off of your vehicle. And again, if there is any ice on your wrap let it melt.

Keep an eye out for salt.

Salt builds up and can cause corrosion and long-term damage to your wrap. To prevent buildup gently wash off any salt you see as you park your vehicle in the evening.
